The Tampa Bay Lightning Try Special Hockey for Free will take place at the Lightning Made Training Center & Power Pole Ice Arena on Saturday, December 19th, 2026 from 5:00PM - 6:00 PM.
This Try Special Hockey for Free event is for children with neurodevelopmental disabilities (including Autism Spectrum Disorder, ADHD, and other cognitive or learning differences) - This sensory-friendly version of Learn to Play is structured to support children with neurodiverse needs through predictable routines, experienced coaches, and a welcoming environment. Activities will focus on building confidence, social skills, and motor coordination—while having fun on the ice!

- One hour of Ice Skating/Hockey instruction

Participants Check-in time: 4:45 PM
Ice Skating/Hockey: 5:00 PM - 6:00 PM

Ages: 5-18 years old
We will provide the following equipment for your athlete to try on the ice:
-Hockey skates
-Hockey helmet (We encourage all participant to bring their own helmet, bike helmets are okay, we will provide a helmet if you do not have one.
-Hockey stick
